Hi, Iβm Akshat. Iβm the kind of person who goes down rabbit holes. One day reading about AI agents, another day researching on energy systems, and somehow ending up building random things at 2am. Scroll to see projects, research notes and how we can collaborate together.
Who I am
I'm Akshat β an engineering student who's more interested in what you do with knowledge than in having it. Everything I am working on is a learning curve, and that's exactly how I like it.
My sweet spot is the intersection of AI, data, and the mundane everyday β the kind of problems people deal with but never think to solve with technology. If a system can think smarter so a person doesn't have to, I want to build it. With just this in mind, I've been tinkering around my father's textile manufacturing systems since years now! π
Beyond the technical, I'm genuinely fascinated by how ideas become companies. I follow the VC and startup ecosystem closely β what accelerators are betting on, which early-stage theses are playing out. I think a lot about what it takes to go from a working prototype to something people actually care about. Lately, Iβve been also fascinated by the stock market β not just the numbers, but the ideas, businesses, and decisions behind them :)
Outside screens: I play squash, get lost in music, and travel whenever I can β usually to somewhere I've never been. Iβm also always up for good coffee and have a soft spot for exploring new tech products and gadgets.
I work best in teams. I think out loud, ask questions that go sideways in useful directions, and genuinely believe the best ideas come from people who are different from you.
You can find out more about me by my blogs!
What I've built
A behaviour-change system to reduce household energy consumption. Built with IVCCE β Plaksha's clean energy research centre. Using data and timely alerts to nudge households toward lower usage without friction.
A smart laundry scheduling system powered by an IoT socket and a full web dashboard. Monitors energy draw, detects cycle completion, and schedules optimal wash times automatically.
Exploring problems at the intersection of ML and everyday life. Watch this space β or read the blog to follow along.
Open to research collabs, interesting problems, and building with people who care about real-world impact.
Let's talkWhere I've been
Working on a smart nudging system to reduce household energy consumption. Researching how data-driven behavioural interventions can create measurable impact at scale β without requiring users to change habits by willpower alone.
Worked as a management fellow for the Young Technology Scholar program at Plaksha. Helped coordinate and run the program, developing skills in team management, communication, and institutional operations alongside technical studies.
Second-year engineering student focused on applying CS and AI to real-world systems. Building IoT projects, learning ML algorithms independently, and seeking every opportunity to apply theory to practice.
Thinking out loud
A mix of tech learnings, project updates, startup observations, and daily life. Unpolished. Honest. Written for myself first.
Get in touch
If you're building something at the intersection of tech and traditional industry β or you think there's a conversation worth having β I'm genuinely open to it. I'm early in my journey and I know it. But I show up, I think, and I follow through.
